Christmas in July!

Is anyone else under a HEAT-WAVE right now? Sewing for the cozy, winter months might be just the cooling we need!

Last autumn, I had the opportunity to sew with Beverly McCullough's Christmas Adventure fabric line for Riley Blake Designs and made her a set of Christmas Elves for her Virtual Booth at Fall Quilt Market. You can read all about the Kindness Elves and their Christmas Adventure at Quilt Market on the Blog post HERE.

Now, 8 months later, as the yardages are hitting the shelves in shops, I am so happy to sew with this fabric line again! I mean really! Just take a closer look at all these adorable prints in Christmas Adventure! I love all the motifs and the scale Bev uses in this line... making it perfect for quilting and fussy cutting! This rich color palette is fun with a little vintage nod!

Can you spot her signature flamingo at the Christmas Adventure campground? Too cute!

This fabric actually inspired me to write this quilt pattern, Pine Forest Winter Quilt Pattern.

If you have joined me in any of the free QALs (Quilt-Alongs) I have hosted, you know I am quite passionate about the Half-square Rectangle, traditionally pieced, tutorial I teach. Don't let rectangles intimidate you, if you follow my method, I KNOW even beginner quilters will enjoy how simple and fun they are! You can watch the HSR tutorial HERE by joining our FREE Educational Facebook Group called Inspired Quilting.

Pine Forest Winter Quilt is definitely a quilt that you can keep out longer than you have your Christmas Tree up for. In fact, it is not even a Christmas Quilt at all! It is a winter forest quilt. Hmmmm, I wonder how it would look made up in other colorways too?

The Pine Forest Winter Quilt Pattern is out at testers and will be released on July 22nd (my birthday!) right before the official Christmas in July sale on July 25th! We will also be running a FREE Quilt-Along for this pattern later this Fall. Make sure you sign up for the Bee Sew Inspired Quilting Newsletter so you know when all the details are happening!

In the meantime, ask your local quilt shop to carry Bev's Christmas Adventure fabric by Riley Blake Designs, sign up for the Bee Sew Inspired Newsletter and let's get ready to feel the cool breeze of Christmas sewing in the heat of July!!!
