What's In Between:

We LOVE what is in the middle of all our projects. They make them soft, or stiff, flexible or squishy, flat or poofy!!! These items such as quilt batting, fiber fill, interfacing, stabilizer etc are all so wonderful and amazing but often are big, bulky and awkward to store. So what is the solution? Well, that depends on your space and set up. A good rule of thumb it to keep small amounts accessible in your Creative Space and the "extras" hidden away in a dry, cool closet or space free from temperature changes and with air movement. Let's start the conversation and inspire each other to organize even one small section of our "In Betweens" this week!

Clear Bins Anyone?

Clear bins... do you love them or would you rather use concealed storage in cupboards and closets? Perhaps you like clear bins BEHIND closed doors? Or maybe you prefer drawers, or wicker baskets. Whatever you preference is, it is undeniable how helpful containers can be when organizing. After all - their only job is to "contain" their contents. Why not try storing your "In Betweens" in a bin or two. Especially the ones you use often. Creating and sewing is always so much more enjoyable when we don't have to search for the little piece that goes inside our projects. We want to know how YOU store this tricky category! Share on FB or Social media and don't forget to tag @beesewinspired and use the hashtag #organizealong

Ideas and solutions for storing quilt batting:

  • crate or other box- stand the packages up right so you don’t loose the bottom one

  • hanging sweater rack. This one is kind of ingenious! Those rolls fit perfectly into those sections. Each section could even be a size as well.

  • highest shelf in the closet with a labeled box. Put a label on it so you know what’s inside. Highest shelf because they don’t get used that often

  • rolls– large metal bars like they come on at the store

  • fabric baskets or other containers that are cute. Love the baby bed idea. It does take floor space, but it’s cute to look at.

  • Hang the bolts on dowels

  • Have a lot of little pieces that aren’t big enough to use in a project? You can sew the quilt batting pieces together!
