January 2024: Monthly Recap

In case you missed it, here's some of the exciting things that happened at Sew A Story in January of 2024!

New Patterns

I released the quilt patterns for my upcoming To Grandmother's House fabric collection with Riley Blake Designs. Welcome to a magical world inspired by the famous classic fairytale, Little Red Riding Hood. These quilts will take you on a journey through a woods filled with larger-than-life strawberries, enchanting mushrooms, and the characters you love including Little Red, the grandmother, the big bad wolf, and more! I hope you love these patterns as much as I do!

My First Pattern Booklet!

I announced my first physical pattern booklet with Riley Blake Designs that features my Through the Woods quilt! I'm selling limited signed copies with a preorder on my website! I'll also be hosting a quilt-along for this pattern starting in April, so sign up here.

Quilt Alongs

I started the year very busy and very creative by participating in many different quilt-alongs. I'm hosting a QAL for my Eat the Rainbow quilt. I'm also participating in the Riley Blake Block Challenge and the Fat Quarter Shop Quilted Witch. It's so fun to use my fabrics to stitch along with others. Check out my progress!

Pattern Club

We released two fun patterns inside the Pattern Club this month! The Fabric Storage Basket tutorial was especially popular as quilters were getting organized in January! I also gave the Pattern Club new branding and a fresh look + added fun benefits like exclusive discounts and a monthly newsletter to the offerings. I hope you join this membership to get creative each month with me!

Fun Freebies!

I released two fun freebies on my blog this month. The first is a free block pattern to help promote the Shine Together quilt. This adorable block is based off of a paper doll. You'll love customizing the dolls' clothing with your fabric choices! You can also add cute embellishments with applique, embroidery, and buttons! The second freebie is a helpful download of solid fabrics that showcases a wide variety of skin tones and hair colors, so you can create with diversity. Enjoy!

I hope you had a fantastic January full of sewing and creativity! If you're not already subscribed to my newsletter, sign up here to be the first to know what's going on at Sew A Story! And follow me on social media to see sneak peeks at upcoming patterns, fabric collections, and more!
